I’m Mark. I’m a lifelong psychology geek, fascinated by behaviour at work and obsessive about going the extra mile to help leaders and teams lean into the stuff that makes them uncomfortable.

I built The Mind Giraffe for leaders who like to think bigger, bolder, and beyond the treetops.

With over 20 countries stamped on my business travels and an international career spent deep in the science of leadership, team dynamics, and psychometrics, I have worked with organisations across private and public sectors, helping leaders to stop winging-it and start thinking strategically.

I’ve spoken at top leadership and development conferences, including the British Psychological Society (BPS), Psychometrics Forum, DISRUPT HR, Staff Development Forum (SDF), and Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD). My thinking has been featured in HR Zone, IC Magazine, ACCA Magazine, Training Journal, and across a host of industry podcasts.

But here’s the thing: I’m not just an observer— I’ve been in the trenches. With over a decade sat on boards as a company director, twice nominated for Institute of Directors’ Director of the Year, I know what it’s like to balance strategy, people, and pressure. I’ve built teams, managed budgets, and led organisations through the messy, unpredictable reality of leadership—which means my advisory work comes with a heavy dose of practical, no-nonsense tools.

And when I’m not busy coaching or supporting teams, I’m usually found diving headfirst into technology and the future of work.
